Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Pomona Valley Alumnae Chapter hosts the State of Black Male/Female Relationships Conference
Rancho Cucamonga, CA– On Saturday, January 7th, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Pomona Valley Alumnae Chapter will host The State of Black Male/Female Relationships Conference. The conference will be held at Central Park Community Center, 11200 Base Line Road, Rancho Cucamonga, Ca. 91701 from 1:00p.m. – 5:00p.m. The free conference will include a panel discussion titled “My Brother, My Sister – Can we Talk?”, workshops such as “The Five Languages of Love” and “The Four Corners of New Age Dating”, vendors, authors, food and much, much more. Men and women ages 18 and over who are married, single or divorced are invited to attend. There is no attendance fee.
The purpose of the conference is to highlight how healthy marriages and relationships benefit adults, children and communities. The conference will provide participants access to resources and an opportunity to engage in conversation openly and honestly in an effort to identify issues and formulate solutions that will aid in fostering and sustaining healthier relationships between black men and women. By establishing healthier relationships between black men and women, the overall mental and emotional well-being of both improves, as well as, that of their children. In addition, healthier relationships will promote and enhance educational development, economic development and political empowerment within the black community.
