Walmart & Inland Valley News Conflict News Update
For the last six weeks we have reported on the Pomona Walmart removing the Inland Valley newspapers out of its store. There has been only one call returned from Walmart. There is no resolve. Calls and letters from Inland Valley News’ leadership have not been responded to. The organization that has taken on this cause nationally is National Association for Equal Justice in America. Its president has called for a Stop Spending at Walmart Campaign. He is urging people who are sensitive to the light of the Inland Valley News to stop spending where their products are not wanted.
“Get as many black people as we can, and put on some pressure on the local stores by not spending. We will send a message to the headquarters and let them know that their not being socially responsible to the people of Pomona/Inland Valley. We collectively, as a community of conscience people, can spend our money with those shop keepers who want our business. In this economy every business can use more business, even Walmart.”
