Inland Valley Newspaper Group Acquires The Charter News

Upland, CA– The Inland Valley Newspaper Group has acquired The Charter Newspaper from New Perspective, Inc., a Los Angeles based not for profit organization.
The Charter News is a three year old news publication devoted to the Charter School Community. The Charter News is the only news publication serving southern California’s charter community. Its mission is to provide an informative perspective about the charter school system, individual charter schools and alternative education to schools and the general community.
We were in negotiations since June and completed the transaction on Christmas Eve. What a special Christmas gift, stated Tommy Morrow, Inland Valley Newspaper Group, Publisher. “We are so excited to get into this new market. It is an untapped market with over 750 schools and upwards of 400,000 students, according to the City Journal Magazine. There are some phenomenal stories of students doing great things that need to be told and its history needs to be recorded. What a real joy to have the responsibility to accurately tell the stories and record its rich history.”
