THE NEED: The Celebration of Excellence Awards Gala is a community outreach program of the Inland Valley News, sponsored together with its affiliated not-for-profit, public benefit 501(c)(3) corporation, Shining Glory Publications. Proceeds from this benefit provide scholarships and internships for youths and adults from under-represented communities wishing to pursue education and/or careers in journalism writing or publication design. The Inland Valley News is the only African American owned newspaper in the Pomona and East San Gabriel Valleys, serving 70,000 readers each week. At the event, Publishers' Awards and Excellence Awards honor Inland Valley leaders as well as unsung heroes from various sectors of society.
OUR GUESTS: 380 guests, including leaders in business, education, housing, transportation, health care, government, church and media as well as other key decision-makers attend this event.
TICKETS: $100 per person
